A taste of the land, crafted by hand.

The Tea Experience.

Watch our local team handpick and prepare fresh Ceylon tea, following traditional methods. You’re welcome to join — plucking leaves, watching them wither and roll, and then tasting tea made minutes before, at the table on the verandah.

USD 20 — per group

The Cinnamon Experience.

Experience the art of peeling and preparing cinnamon, one of Sri Lanka’s oldest exports. The fragrance of freshly stripped bark is something most guests remember long after they’ve gone home.

USD 50 — per group

Combined Tea & Cinnamon Experiences.

Experiences both on the same day. Best arranged for the morning, when the light on the hill is low and the heat has not yet settled in.

Beyond the Gates

What is close, what is worth the drive.

Whale watching off Mirissa (seasonal), sea turtle hatcheries along the coast, and a sheltered bay for snorkeling teeming with fish — all within easy reach by tuk-tuk or driver.

For walks: a scenic rainforest with hiking trails is a short drive inland. For surf: Weligama. For sightseeing or dinner in town: UNESCO World Heritage Site Galle Fort is 25 minutes away, a charming walled town of narrow lanes, restored Dutch colonial houses, galleries, shops with local crafts, elegant restaurants, and rooftop bars.

On-site: yoga on the verandah, in-villa massage, and Sri Lankan cooking lessons.

Once a booking is confirmed, we share a full activity guide. The villa butler can arrange drivers, tuk-tuks, and excursions directly.
